Joe Biden went viral for all the wrong reasons earlier today with his comments about African American voters considering casting their ballots for Donald Trump. The former vice president told Charlamagne Tha God during his interview on The Breakfast Club that any African American voting for Trump "ain't black." The tone-deaf remark ruffled the feathers of many leading to the excoriation of Biden on social media all day Friday.
In an attempt to stop the bleeding, Biden issued an apology for his comments. “I should not have been so cavalier. I’ve never, never, ever taken the African-American community for granted,” said Biden. “I shouldn’t have been such a wiseguy,” adding, “I shouldn’t have been so cavalier… No one should have to vote for any party based on their race, their religion, their background.”
